Baker City Cycling Classic
Stage 1: June 23rd
Keating Valley Road Race
p/b Base Camp Baker
This is a great warm up for a weekend of racing taking you through a challenging course even though it?s shorter than our usual road stages. 40 miles with approximately 1,500 ft of elevation gain and a 2 miles section of dirt road.
We can say this stage 1 might favor the sprinters in the peloton.
Stage 2: June 23rd
Oregon Trail Uphill Time Trial
p/b Cycle Soles
This is a one mile UPHILL TT course with 389 ft of elevation gain. It?s just one mile, but big time could be gained here. *It?s up to you what type of bike you use for this course.*
Stage 3: June 24th
BCCC Time Trial
p/b Rolf Prima Wheels
This is a super fast and flat TT course. Only 27 ft of elevation gain over 11 miles.
*This is a MODERN TT, there are no aero restrictions on equipment used*
Stage 4 : June 24th
Tour d?Town Criterium
p/b BELLA
Known for being one of the fastest crit courses in the Northwest. The Downtown Criterium is a 1 km L-shaped loop, through the historic district of Baker City.
Pro 1/2 Men race for 60 minutes, Cat 3 40 minutes, Masters Men 1/2/3 40 minutes,
Cat 4/5 + Masters 4/5 25 minutes. Women Pro 1/2/3 40 minutes Cat 4/5 women 25 minutes
Stage 5: June 25th
Anthony Lakes Tour d?Horn Road Race
p/b Barley Brown?s Beer
The Tour d?Horn Road Race will start from Baker High School headed North on Hwy 30 to Route 203 where it will follow a rolling course through Medical Springs, Union and North Powder. From that point it will follow Anthony Lakes Highway to the highest point the BCCC has ever traveled. The route has a total ascent of 6476.38 ft and tops out at an elevation of 7,237.53 ft.
