IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild
ABOUT: Founded in 2016 by classical pianist Hunter Noack, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild is an outdoor concert series where America’s most stunning landscapes replace the traditional concert hall. We bring a 9-foot Steinway grand piano on a flatbed trailer to National Parks, urban greenspaces, working ranches, farms, and historical sites for classical music concerts that connect people with each landscape. To meet the acoustical challenges of performing in the wild, music is transmitted to concert-goers via wireless headphones. No longer confined to seats, you can explore the landscape, wander through secret glens, lie in sunny meadows, and roam old growth forests. IMPORTANT To join Hunter on the steam engine train both to and from the concert, be sure to purchase a train ticket AND a concert ticket (click on "Tickets" button above). HEADPHONES The use of IAL headphones is included in your ticket price. Pick up your reserved, sanitized headset at our registration desk and enjoy the original audio experience. SEATING No chairs will be provided. Please bring low-back chairs. (maximum measurements: 33" from top of chair to ground, 8" from seat of chair to ground.). Those with high-back chairs will be asked to sit on the outer edges to avoid blocking the view of those behind you.
