Batik Class with Ginger

BATIK Thursday, July 15 6-8:30pm Downstairs studio Age 12 and up $20 per person (member price) Limit: 8 students This is both an introductory and advanced class of the Indonesian and Indian art of batik, which combines a wax resist process, dye, and fabric. This class will involve hot wax and will run for 2-3 hours. MATERIALS TO BRING: Participants should bring a simple design idea with a pattern no bigger than 12 x 12” plus a Fine Tip black Sharpie. Additional hair dryers and irons are also helpful. Dye, wax, fabric and tools all provided. Multiple patterns also available for student use.
