Hey y’all---Now is the time to get your holiday calm on! Fun and easy to learn. Sample a variety of gently flowing movement routines to energize your body, mind and spirit, while releasing stress and tension. Learn how to give yourself the gift of a 2 or 5-minute revitalization to help keep your good cheer in gear this season (and beyond). In the short Tai Chi sets we will learn to combine basic movements drawn from the Yang, Sun, and Chen styles. Qi Gong exercises will also follow basic, easy to perform movements to promote better breathing and circulation, balance, coordination and overall fitness. All exercises are adaptable and suitable for anyone who needs to be in a seated position. Age: Adults. No previous experience necessary. Note: Participants will need to sign a release confirming their readiness to participate in the physical activities of this class and, if necessary, obtain clearance from their health care professional before commencing. Students should wear clothing and footwear that are comfortable and appropriate for exercise. Shoes are required. In consideration of those with sensitivities, please refrain from wearing any strong fragrances. Dianne Erickson is certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute as an instructor for Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, Diabetes, and Rehabilitation. “My goal is to help students discover the benefits of practicing Tai Chi and Qi Gong, and learn how to easily make it a regular part of their daily personal care and health routines.”
