Student should bring: Interesting sticks or twigs around 2 feet in length if you have them; light to medium weight fabrics you like (or that you’d like to share), including recycled fabrics like scarves, lace curtains, thin t-shirt fabrics (sheer and or stretchy are both very good for this). Interesting yarn or fibers you might have left from other projects. Bring sewing scissors, if you have them. You will know by the end of the first class what kinds of beads, buttons, and household bits you will want to bring to the second class for embellishing. Age requirements: Intended for people with a little (or a lot of) life experience under their belt, though anyone over 16 is welcome. Skill Level: Beginner Minimum number of students: 4 Maximum number of students: 12 Complete course description: Maybe you can’t draw a stick figure, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make one! Art dolls can be made in an endless number of ways, but this twig wrapping technique is very beginner-friendly, so no excuses for not signing up. No “capital A Art” skills required! In this adult class, we’ll learn an easy technique for using sticks and natural materials, plus air dry clay, fabric, and recycled bits and pieces to make an art doll that hangs on the wall.
