Merry Faerie Ornaments Instructor: Dawn-Marie deLara fancy as you wish. Also, if you have your own Age requirements: There are lots of steps, and a fair bit of hot glue used in the making of these, so recommended for age 12 and up. Course description: It’s a faerie merry yuletide indeed, when sleeping faerie babies arrive via hot air balloons, and woodland elves cavort among the evergreens! With pinecones and walnut shells, polymer clay, and some classic craft supplies you will put together two different ornaments to take home, along with the skills to make a treeful more on your own. Using pinecones and walnut shells, with polymer clay and craft supplies, participants will create 2 different ornaments and take home the skills to make a treeful of these playful woodland elves and sweetly sleeping faerie babies. Younger children, 6 and older, may participate with a helper adult (who may sign up to make their own project, if they wish). Skill Level: Beginner is fine. Minimum number of students: 2 Maximum number of students: 12 (plus helper adults, if any) Instructor: Dawn-Marie deLara is a professional mural painter and plaster sculptor who grew up in Baker City and returned in 2017, after 34 years away. During those years away, she has taken and taught classes in sculpting, writing, and mixed media art, as well as metaphysical spirituality and meditation. She teaches polymer clay, and Artful Soul mixed media art journaling classes.

Course cost: $16.00 for members/ $24.00 for nonmembers. Materials fee: $10 Supplies Provided: Most supplies provided Student should bring: The hot air balloon project uses a simple glass Christmas ball ornament. You may wish to bring a favorite with you to use, or if you wish to use a non-breakable ornament, bring one made of plastic or satin-covered Styrofoam, approximately 3-4” diameter. Hot air balloons can be as plain or hot glue gun, feel free to bring, to reduce wait time for shared equipment.
