Historic Homes Tour
Welcome to Historic Baker City’s old-fashioned Holiday Homes Tour. Included in this year’s tour are several homes, and other historically significant or architecturally important buildings.
The emphasis of the tour is on the fancy parlor where historically families always displayed their most extravagant holiday decorations to impress the neighbors walking by. Of course, now-a-days, home owners want to share their unique historical homes with us during this very special time of the year. However, in keeping with the Victorian habit, the fancy parlors are the only areas of the home open to the public for viewing unless otherwise noted by the individual home owners.
Homes on the tour will be open from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The tour starts at the Baker Heritage Museum which will open at 10:00 AM for those wishing to view the exhibits.
Shoppers are invited to visit Baker City’s historic downtown to explore the unique stores and restaurants located there. A listing of shops open today is included in this program.
NOTE: This is a self-guided tour, so you may take the tour in any order. The numbers by the name of the home corresponds with the location map on the back page. Thank You and Enjoy the Tour!
