Historic Baker City Streets and Alleyways Photo Walking Tour
Instructor: Shirlee Severs, Photographer* Date: Monday June 25th Time: 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Location: Meet at the Downstairs Studio. We will walk around Historic Baker City Main Street and alleyways. Supplies: Bring your cameras; either Smart Phone, point & shoot, or DSLR. Be prepared to walk up to 8-10 Blocks, wear comfortable shoes. Crossroads and Ms. Severs are not responsible for any injuries. Age Requirements: all ages welcome! Price: $15.00 members/ $22.50 non-members Max # of Students: 10 Course Description: Let’s walk the Historic District and take some beautiful pictures along the way —old buildings, Victorian homes, back alley doors or windows, Adler Park walking path sculptures, the Powder River, people, and more! Students will meet in the downstairs studio to discuss some simple camera techniques, learn a few things about street photography, and ask any questions you may have about photography! We can discuss photo processing apps, Instagram, social media -like Facebook, where best to permanently store photos, and share our favorite photographs as time allows. Follow-up class if necessary or requested. Shirlee Severs, New to Crossroads— “Before I retired from the Washoe County School District in Reno last summer, I taught gifted students basic engineering and science, the arts (excluding voice and music), and how to problem solve and think creatively.” She is a self-described “Artist, Educator, and Curious Human Being!” One of her photographs was selected in the “Cascadia” Photography Exhibition at Crossroads opening on April 6, 2018.
