Instructor: Dawn-Marie deLara Location: Upstairs Studio Min. # of students: 4 Maximum: 8 Supplies provided by Crossroads: Polymer Clay, Chenille Stems in green, white, assorted other colors. Card Stock, Old book pages, colored paper, small brads, glue, floss to hang. Face molds, cutting blades for clay. Instructor will provide paper, patterns, scissors, and glue. All classes are offered for age 12 through 100, 8 and up with a parent. Welcome to beginners. Course Description: Want to try sculpting, but think you’re all thumbs? This project starts with pressing clay into a face mold. A couple of tweaks to the nose and ears is all you have to do yourself, and then it’s on to playing with paper to create a body, and then some fun with pipe cleaners. Once you ‘ve done one, you’ll be able to make all sorts of characters for gifts or holiday decorations. Dawn- Marie deLara- Is new to Crossroads and moved back after growing up here! She has worked with some top flight arts organizations and makes the most wonderful projects! She is a terrific professional artist and is bringing some wonderful whimsical classes to Crossroads.
