Calligraphy Part 3 – Illuminated Letters Instructor: Ginger Rembold Date: August 27th (6:00 pm – 8:00 pm) Age Requirements: Age 12 and up (8-12 with a paid adult) Minimum # of Students – 3 Maximum # of Students: 12 Course Cost: $16 members/ $24 non-members Supply fee: $5 Supplies: Students to bring a regular black Sharpie; colored pencils if desired. Course Description: Many decorative calligraphic quotations (and all of the ancient Bibles!) begin paragraphs or pages with a large illuminated letter. Discover an easy method for creating larger than nib-size letters and various techniques for adding the decorative touches that make calligraphy into a masterful art form! Valuable lessons not only for formal quotations, but also for creating initial cards and signs. Participants are invited to bring a snack to share if desired.
