    BATIK WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP With instructors Denise Elizabeth Stone & Jan Clark DATES & TIMES – October 12, 2019, 9 am - 4 pm. We will break for an hour from about noon to 1 pm. You may bring your lunch or go out to eat. LOCATION – Crossroad Art Center, Baker City. Please enter the lower door facing Auburn Ave. Plan on arriving about 15 minutes early to set up your work space. Dress in layers. Open to all levels including total beginners!!! CLASS FEE - $75 members / $112.50 non members SUPPLY FEE - $10 for each participant “GET YOUR BATIK ON!” In this fun workshop you will learn to Batik on traditional Asian papers. You may use watercolor or gouache. You will also be using ink and a special mix of wax. We will carefully walk you through each step to creating your own original pieces of Batik art. The class fee includes all of the special supplies. Students will have a supply list of things to bring from home. Jan and Denise are both member of the Batik Convergence and are multiple media specialists. BATIK WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP – STUDENT SUPPLIES Open to all levels including total beginners!!! With instructors Denise Elizabeth Stone & Jan Clark The instructors are supplying all of the special supplies such as traditional Asian papers, a special mix of wax, ink, tjantings, gloves, wax brushes, irons, and ink brushes. Please bring as much of the following as possible. We will bring some supplies to share with those who don’t have them. We will also have a class drawing for an instructors original Batiks! WATERCOLORS OR GOUACHE - Bring what you have. We will bring extras to share. BRUSHES - Bring a variety of sizes if you have them. We will share ours, too. MISC. – palette - if you already have one, roll of towels, old hand towel, support board for your paper- at least 14”x 20” and it can be cardboard & it’s best if it’s white, 10-15 sheets of newspaper (if you have it), water container (like a cool whip tub), pencil & eraser, spray bottle.
