Artist Development Classes Beginning Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for Artists
What to Bring: Bring your device that you primarily work from—Cell Phone, Tablet or Laptop. Crossroads has Wifi! Also have loaded 2-3 quality photos of your work or studio, short artist’s bio or business information. Make sure you have your address, business hours, website, email and phone number you will use for your business available for this class. We welcome all artists, crafters, small business people who are still struggling to understand and join social media. This entry level class will introduce artisans on how to create a basic Facebook, Twitter and Instagram account for your art business. Social media is critical part of selling your artwork, art business or sharing your artwork with a much larger audience. To make connections with other artisans to learn and grow your business, art technique and build collaborative arts relationships. We will help you set up a Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, help you connect them so that you save time and understand the unique relationship between these three critical social media platforms. Do’s and Don’ts for social media, how to fully complete your profile to maximize likes and shares. We will review social media etiquette so that you don’t make the mistakes common to artists (and a whole lot of regular folks!) This class is welcome to artisans, crafters, small business owners who have no social media or who have just started using social media or who want to use their social media more effectively. The following Monday an advanced Facebook Class will be taught by Timothy Bishop of Baker County Marketing for those who are actively using Facebook now but who want to go the next level.
