The Baker County Chamber of Commerce mission statement is to “Promote a United Baker County as a place to visit, live and do business; enhance and foster economic vitality, while embracing our heritage and providing for our future.”
The Sustaining Members have been holding steady with the same six Chamber members for several years, yet our membership has grown by more than 10% in the past two years.
A Sustaining Member of the Chamber of Commerce makes an additional financial commitment to the Chamber of Commerce each year because they believe in the mission statement of the Chamber and the future of Baker County. The Chamber uses that investment to sustain the Chamber-owned building. Last year, we gave the building a new coat of stain and also partnered with the Ford Leadership group to upgrade our signage. The investment totaled almost $7,000.00 in supplies and manpower. This year the Chamber will be replacing the crumbling front walk at a cost of $2,800.00.
These investments in the Chamber building and property enhance the business opportunities for every Chamber of Commerce member in the county. The Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau building is the front door to Baker County. Poised on the corner of I-84 and Campbell Street, we provide visitors to Baker County with a direct link to Chamber members and transient room tax stakeholders. Open from 8am-5pm Monday thru Saturday and 11am-4pm on Sunday, we offer visitors that personal touch to make them feel welcome and encourage them to stay longer.
