What We Do
Promote Business
Baker County Chamber of Commerce serves as
the general spokesperson for the business community of Baker
County. The Chamber promotes businesses, individually and
categorically; for example, real estate, hospitality, retail,
agriculture and many others. We do this through many ways,
including placing advertising in regional and national
publications, television and radio promotions, attending events
and trade shows and implementing a proactive public relations
campaign on behalf of our members and the County.
Coordinate Community
Events By coordinating and participating in
community events, the Chamber helps build a positive image of
the business community. The Chamber works on many events
including: Annual Chamber Banquet -awards & networking; Snow
Blast at Anthony Lakes Mt. Resort -promotes tourism; Miners'
Jubilee a citywide celebration attended by visitors from
across the Northwest; Leadership Training -education a &
networking; Legislative Hotline - direct contact with state
legislators; Business After Hours -networking. The Chamber also
contributes to the following community events: District 7- 8-A
and State 1-A Basketball Tournaments; East-West All-Star Shrine
Football Game; Elkhorn Classic Bicycle Race; Shiner's Kids
Rodeo; Community Economic Coalition.
Who We Are
Baker County Chamber of Commerce is part of
Baker County Unlimited, which also includes the Visitors Center. Baker County
Unlimited was formed in 2002 to combine the Visitors &
Convention Bureau and the Baker County Chamber of Commerce to
improve efficiencies and reduce staffing overlaps. This merger
has allowed us to better fulfill our dual goals of promoting
business and tourism opportunities in Baker County. Our mission
is to promote a United Baker County as a place to visit, live,
and do business; enhance and foster economic vitality while
embracing our heritage and providing for our future. Baker
County Unlimited and it's staff are overseen by a board of
directors elected by the members of the Baker County Chamber of
Commerce. It is supported in part by membership dues, grants and
a Countywide Transient Room Tax.
